Salvatore Ferragamo: Pre-Fall 2011

They say simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, but simplicity could also be a total bore. This collection manages however to be the line that divides the two. Some looks were a bit repetitive and reminiscent to seasons past, and ended up coming across a bit boring, but others were pretty fresh and gave a youthful spritz to the label that invented the heel. Cremes, browns, navy blues, and black were the tones used in array of items ranging from cropped pants and oversized trousers, to vest jackets and knee-length skirts. This collection is a bit like a weekend in Vegas, you really don’t know if you won or lost until you leave. We’ll have to wait and see, although considering past collections, at Ferragamo they always tends to pull out a few tricks out of their sleeve.
